These appointments would be contingent upon approval by the Board of Dental Examiners as well as the approval of the Executive Committee and Steering Committee of the North East Regional Board of Dental Examiners.

Further, interested persons should be aware of the following:

1. Consultant Members serves as an examiner in giving the NERB examinations for licensure.

2. The appointment is a one-year term with reappointment annually.

3. A Consultant Member must be licensed and must attend the NERB Annual Spring Meeting and examiner training session which is generally held in Washington DC during March or April.

4. The Consultant Member must be available to examine during the Spring Examination Series, April and May as well as at a subsequent Summer (August) or Winter (December) Examination Series.

Further, it is necessary to send the Board a request for nomination for such appointment along with a curriculum vitae.

Interested persons should send a letter of request for nomination to the Board office along with a curriculum vitae. Requests will be submitted to the Board for consideration for nomination as a Consultant Member of NERB.

Such requests should be submitted to the Board by June 30 of each year in order to be considered for the following year.
